Jennifer Bush is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Department of Family and Protective Services. She is an experienced cybersecurity professional with strong technical knowledge, and proven leadership skills in information security, IT risk, and compliance, and is dedicated to developing strong business relationships.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and holds numerous certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and several Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) from the SANS Technology Institute.
Jennifer was the recipient of the 2019 TASSCC Rising Star Award and a graduate of the 2020 Texas Health and Human Services Executive Leadership Academy. She also shares her passion for learning by mentoring women and other underrepresented groups on the skillsets and mindset they will need in preparing for and being successful in a Cybersecurity career.
