Monica Smoot has 25 years’ experience in the Texas public sector in research and analysis, data governance, data management, and data analytics. In her role as the Texas Data Literacy Program Administrator at the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), Monica is focusing on developing and promoting a statewide data literacy program, as well as providing support for the Texas Data Portals and other activities within the Office of the Chief Data Officer.
