In this session, we are presenting the importance of Enterprise Data Governance and Privacy policies and the strategies for implementation. We will discuss these topics with lessons learned from UT Austin's data management and governance journey, challenges & related risks of not having an enterprise strategy, and successful implementation strategies. Topics will include how to get executive buy-in, compliance with state law, and data governance maturity assessment in a state agency. We are also planning to present the recent state-level discussions on the importance of Data Privacy from the University of Texas System's perspective along with intersecting risks between data security, privacy, and data governance.
