Natasha is leading ongoing research, development and scalable delivery of the Cloudwick Amorphic modern data and automation platform. The goal is simple, give government the ability to build and own their own agnostic data integration and analytics platform, with transparent architectural decisions, scale, security, governance, and access. The platform allows application interfaces in dozens of formats on both the frontend and as part of the consumption layer, fundamentally shifting the paradigm for how government invests in, builds, and owns their own data and technical destiny.
As a public sector dedicated modernization leader at AWS Natasha designed and led a new practice area and mental model for AWS engagement in Public Sector- Data Modernization and Digital Transformation (D2T). Natasha conducted regular research and development to update commonly used frameworks (like ETL, Data Lakehouse, and Purpose-built Storage), re-engineering and re-imagining them to include modern best practices, AWS specific sophistication, scale, flexibility, and most important - Transparency and Customer Ownership. The resulting D2T program and conceptual frameworks delivered more than 40 modern data projects across 17+ states to meet complex public sector needs at scale. Collectively, these projects helped states avoid millions in costs by designing and modernizing systems the right way the first time.
Prior to AWS, Natasha was the Chief Data Officer and Deputy Director for the State of CA Department of Social Services. During her time with the state she facilitated the launch of novel outcomes and accountability framework for TANF; launched a division focused on transforming the Department’s data lifecycle and research initiatives; developed first of their kind human-centered design, GIS, data literacy, and automation teams. Natasha designed and launched EID safety-net application reviews, COVID analytics and modeling, and multi-factor child welfare case disposition and outcomes analytics. Before her executive roles with CA, Natasha was a researcher and project director at Mathematica Policy Research specializing in two-generational approaches to poverty and behavioral economics related to scarcity. She has a B.S. in Biology and Doctorate in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from University of Puget Sound, and a Master’s in Public Policy from UC Berkeley.
