Tanya Oestrick is the Director of the Office of Background and Search Services at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). With more than 27 years of experience in child welfare, she has served in roles ranging from caseworker and supervisor to program leadership. Tanya has led the DFPS Background Check and FINDRS programs and most recently oversaw the implementation of SEMARC, Texas' statewide interagency search engine. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University.
