Jennie Hoelscher serves as Privacy Officer and Assistant General Counsel for the Department of Information Resources. In her privacy role, she advises on how to protect Texans' information collected when doing business with the state and how to comply with privacy laws and regulations. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a member of the Chief Privacy Officer Community within the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO). Prior to joining DIR, Jennie served for 15 years as an Assistant Attorney General, leading the Office of the Attorney General's Opinion Division.
