In early 2022, the Texas Department of Insurance responded to a security incident that required the activation of their cybersecurity insurance policy. This session will cover lessons learned from the incident and how agencies can be prepared to trigger their cyber policy.

Session Objectives: Attendees will learn about cybersecurity threats to web applications, key items to consider when filing a cyber insurance policy claim in response to an incident, and the importance of teamwork and partnerships within the agency when responding to an incident.
