Andrew Whitaker is a Field CISO for Oracle where he supports State/Local Government and Higher Education. In this role, Andrew advises customer CISOs, CIOs, and CTOs on security governance, risk, and compliance as it pertains to data and cloud services. Andrew has over 25 years of experience in information security, having previously held security leadership roles at Meta and AWS and as the CISO for the City of Seattle. Andrew is the author of several books, including Chained Exploits: Advanced Hacking Attacks From Start to Finish, and is a frequently requested conference speaker at such conferences as Defcon, RSA, BSides, and others.
