Ryan brings over 20 years of IT, Cybersecurity and Intelligence Community experience. Ryan joined Snowflake in 2020 as a Principal Security Architect in the Field CTO office specializing in Snowflake Product Security features and helping customers architect secure deployments of their Snowflake Accounts. He now leads the team as a Senior Manager for Security Architects, a global team dedicated to deep product security expertise as it pertains to Snowflake.

Prior to Snowflake he worked at Oracle as a Cloud Technologist for Oracle SaaS solutions for five years focused on all things Security from a SaaS perspective.

A veteran of the US Navy, Ryan served as an Intelligence Officer. His diverse career spanned a variety of geographies and technologies, culminating in a position where he was assigned to a unit to help analyze cyber threats. In this role he worked closely with cybersecurity personnel in a Security Operations Center. He also led a team focused on trend-analysis on the tactics, techniques, and procedures employed by cyber threats. This analysis helped network defenders respond to and defend against cyber threats.

Ryan holds a BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy and an MS in Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
