Description

Joint Session including City of Dallas CIO, DHS CISA Chief of Cybersecurity Region 6, and IBM Public Sector Security Ambassador. The state of generative AI today is reminiscent of the inception of the world wide web's interface to the internet. The chatbots today are in the same way bringing the masses to AI, ready or not. The same growing pains are being realized again. We’ll review how many organizations are already exploring its use for their enterprises, growing pains, barriers to entry, challenges spanning from trust and bias to accurate information, and new applications of AI in security. Early enterprise adoption of ChatGPT and other generative AI, how organizations are attempting to use it for competitive advantage and finding real challenges. They are quickly realizing the differences between consumer AI and enterprise AI, legal implications, trained foundation models, and governance as key aspects. Statistics will be shared from the recent Ponemon Institute’s Cost of a Data Breach study in attack vectors, response/organizational impact and costs attributed to various controls, remote workforces, and impact in cost and response times attributed to AI/machine learning.
