Mrs. Shelton is a cybersecurity professional with a total of 13 years of experience in the field and 7 years of State service. She brings a strong foundation in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to her role as Cybersecurity GRC Manager at Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Her expertise lies in guiding staff to meet federal and other compliance requirements, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure safeguards are in place, and ultimately empowering staff to operate securely. She's most passionate about "marking things off her list", and finds it incredibly satisfying to build a solid cybersecurity foundation.
