Mary Dickerson is AVP/CISO for UTHealth Houston & responsible for a wide range of infosec practices, strategic planning & herding of a team of security superstars. Both an Aggie and a Cougar, Mary has a BS from Texas A&M & an MBA from UH. Striving to win the alphabet tech bingo game, Mary holds a variety of certifications including: CISM, CISSP & PMP. Much to Mary’s surprise, she was named a Cyber Defense Magazine Top Global CISO in 2023.
Clearly needing more to do, Mary serves on many infosec advisory committees, boards & special interest groups. She has previously served as Vice-Chair of the Tx Cybersecurity Council, an appointed member of the DHS Data Privacy & Integrity Committee & the FBI InfraGard Houston Board of Directors. Looking to put out fires everywhere (not just at the office) & having fun conquering real-life danger to help others, Mary is a 25+ year member of the Nassau Bay VFD & an Accredited Basic Firefighter for the State of Texas.
