Jennifer Bush is the Chief Information Security Officer at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, where she leads cybersecurity efforts to protect sensitive data and support the agency’s mission to Protect the Unprotected. She holds a Master’s in IT with a focus on Cybersecurity and certifications including CISSP, CISM, and multiple GIAC credentials. A TASSCC Rising Star Award recipient, she also graduated from the HHS Executive Leadership Academy and University of Texas’s Emerging Leaders in Texas Excellence (ELITE) program. Jennifer mentors aspiring cybersecurity professionals through WiCyS, UT’s STEM MUSE, and the NCA HBCU Career Program, offering practical guidance and support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
