DIR Discover: Exploring Data and Tech is a new event hosted by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR). The first annual DIR Discover will be held on September 23, 2022 at the Commons Conference Center on the University of Texas J.J. Pickle Research Campus. DIR's Office of the Chief Data Officer and Chief Technology Office have curated this educational event specifcally for Texas public sector IT professionals with a focus on data and emerging technology. Private sector exhibitors and presenters with DIR contracts will also be on hand to highlight the solutions they offer.
DIR Discover is relevant to public sector employees with roles in IT and data but will also be relevant to executive leadership. Examples of positions that are encouraged to attend include: Chief Information Officers, Data Management Officers, Information Resource Managers, Data Analysts, Data Architects, Records Managers, Auditors, Directors, System Analysts, System Developers, and Network Managers.
This free conference benefits eligible customers from state agencies, local government, and public education.
Registration
Pre-registration is required. There is NO COST to attend; however all registrants agree to the state terms.
Eligible attendees are employees of Texas public sector entities (state agencies, cities, counties, K-12, state institutions of higher education).
The number of advance registrations may require us to limit the number of attendees per agency to ensure all agencies can participate.
Substitutions
If you are not able to attend, you may substitute another person to attend in your place. Name badges will be preprinted in advance, so please email registration@xcelevents.us with substitution information by September 16, 2022 by 5 PM.
Cancellations
To cancel your registration, please email registration@xcelevents.us. We anticipate maximum attendance resulting in a sold out event. Early cancellations will allow us to make space available to additional attendees.
Cancellation without substitution received AFTER Friday, September 16, 2022 will result in a $25 cancellation fee billed to the attendee's organization.
