Balaji has provided leadership in the information management and architecture disciplines for the past 15 years. He has served as a program and delivery manager for over 25 data management and analytics initiatives. In doing so, he has worked with many of the Fortune 500 corporations, numerous government, university, and non-profit organizations.

Balaji has been a speaker at vendor seminars, lead sessions at TDWI, and is the author of Daman’s metadata management maturity model, and Self-Service BI Roadmap. His core strengths include opportunity assessments and synthesis, development of valuation frameworks, technology selection, incremental release plan development and analytics evangelism. Over the last decade, his technical background complemented by his program level skills has allowed him to deliver value as a Strategy Advisor to major US corporations such as Texas Instruments, JC Penney, AmerisourceBergen, Dell, and others. His combination of design theory, technical expertise and practical experience allows him to both advise and mentor clients in their transition towards a comprehensive data management ecosystem that generates organizational value.

Prior to his analytics journey, Balaji was a design engineer at Microsoft Corporation. He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Texas at Austin.
