All proposals will be reviewed by the conference committee. If you have any questions, please contact mark.leavenworth@dir.texas.gov.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

The deadline for proposals will be June 30, 2023.

Speakers agree to provide an advance copy of presentation to DIR by August 31st.

ALL TOPICS MUST BE GENERICALLY EDUCATIONAL:  NO MARKETING.  NO PRODUCT/COMPANY PROMOTION.

PROPOSAL DETAILS

We recommend presentation submissions that offer co-presentation (vendor-partner and customer) and a use case/storytelling format.

Feedback from past forums have indicated high satisfaction for these types of presentation formats. The vendor partner can share how they addressed the need or challenge and the customer can share the message, or story, as to the value and success of vendor partner engagement.

DIR is committed to hosting an accessible educational event for all participants. Final presentations and all supporting materials are required to meet digital accessibility standards, and presenters are expected to work with event organizers to make every effort to fulfill reasonable accommodation requests. For questions and requests, please email mark.leavenworth@dir.texas.gov.

Proposals are being accepted in the following categories:

Analytics and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) - use cases that show or could show how Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning, analytics, or Generative AI, or other uses of artificial intelligence have helped address an issue impacting government or helped a customer draw greater deeper understanding of their business in order to make better informed decisions.

Data Governance (DG) - use cases related to getting started, defining the structure/model, implementing the DG model, associated roles, practices and policies to consider.

Data Quality (DQ) - Effective data management programs enable an organization to use data to achieve strategic goals. For data to be useful, it must be reliable, trustworthy and of high quality. Use cases that speak to these points are encouraged.

Software Defined Networks - use cases that show how SDN enables dynamic, efficient network configurations that operate more like cloud computing rather than traditional network management.
