Name
AI Third-party Risk Management: a Roadmap
Date & Time
Tuesday, October 22, 2024, 3:00 PM - 3:50 PM
Description

The highly anticipated rapid adoption of AI into the enterprise space has run into headwinds. While AI promises transformative insights and efficiencies across entire industries, it introduces new risks and vulnerabilities that conventional vendor assessment frameworks fail to adequately evaluate. Traditional protocols were designed prior to the emergence of AI and lack a comprehensive focus on the inherent risks of AI implementation. Nascent frameworks and protocols attempt to close the gaps, but they are not yet adopted systematically and consistently enough to reach their goal yet. In this session, we’ll explore how a robust vendor management program is critical to reducing AI risks to an acceptable level, introducing a roadmap for comprehensive AI vendor assessment, examining the applicability and limitations of traditional frameworks, and recommending practical steps to implement key components of emerging AI-centric frameworks. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of the limits of current vendor management programs and frameworks.
