ISF 2020 CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

MARCH 10-11, 2020 - AUSTIN, TX

The Texas Department of Information Resources Office of the Chief Information Security Officer is pleased to announce the 20th annual Information Security Forum (ISF).  
 
This year's ISF will be held March 10-11, 2020 (Tuesday - Wednesday) at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, Texas. A two-day event featuring multiple educational tracks and breakout sessions, the ISF is open to all levels of Texas government and is a free event for attendees.

Presentation Proposal Submissions

We are currently seeking to fill our break-out sessions with practical and interesting content that attendees will utilize in their agency.  This year's theme is 20/20 Vision: Adjust Your Focus.  We ask your proposal tie in the theme. 
 
  • Have you recently completed a successful software implementation that other agencies would be interested in learning about?  
  • Is there a process that you have applied in your agency that is making a positive impact on your business?

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 13, 2019

The break-out sessions will be just under an hour in length, and the audience will be state agency and higher education security and IT employees.  Local government IT employees will also be invited to attend this year.  
 
Presentation submissions are due by the NEW EXTENDED DEADLINE OF JANUARY 10, 2020 by 11:59 PM.  Early submissions are appreciated!  The presentations will be selected and the agenda will be finalized in mid January. 
 
Upon acceptance approval of your proposal, Slide Presentations are requested by February 21, 2020.

GENERAL INFORMATION & FAQs

  • This Call for Presentations is for BREAKOUT sessions, offered on both Tuesday March 10 and Wednesday March 11 in the mornings and afternoons.
  • Breakout sessions will be 50 minutes in length in meeting rooms which hold 80 seats maximum, theatre style.
  • 1 Screen & LCD projector will be provided in each room and selected speakers are asked to provide their own laptop for projecting slide presentations through the projector.
  • Selected speakers are provided complimentary registration to include continental breakfast and lunch on both days. 
  • All events will be held at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs, Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
  • Travel expenses are not provided for speakers.
