This session is intended to encourage users to be mindful when it comes to buying smart appliances and connecting them to their home network. They will learn that longevity and convenience may come with great security risk and solutions to mitigate that risk. We also educate users on the importance of keeping your cell phones, the center of many people's digital world, secure and up to date. With so much now tied to your phone - email, MFA, passwords - staying on top of vulnerabilities is increasingly important. The session is not overly technical in nature and doesn't cover preferred network settings, but rather focuses on running security updates on home smart devices.
