David B. Luna is a Senior Solutions Architect at Elastic, where he helps organizations harness the power of search-powered AI and security at scale. David transitioned to the private sector in 2025 following a distinguished 29-year career in Texas state service.

Prior to retiring from the state, he served as the NSOC Manager for the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), where he oversaw the response and mitigation of security incidents across more than 120 state agencies. A CISSP and Certified Ethical Hacker, David has spent nearly three decades building robust security programs and managing high-stakes environments. Today, he combines that deep public-sector experience with modern technology to help organizations outthink evolving digital threats.
